2010.06.23 - Free Research Challenge to the Marketing Sector

Next week, Ci Research are making a limited number of survey questions available free of charge exclusively to marketing and media agencies in the UK.

Marketing agencies are being invited to sponsor questions that will be included in an on-line survey with a targeted sample of 17-26 year olds in the UK. Amongst other things, we will be talking to them about their summer leisure pursuits, their World Cup experiences to date, and:

  • How the football is impacting on alcohol consumption, healthy eating, exercise, spending patterns, moods, performance at work, relationships, etc.
  • Impact of the tournament on perceptions of South Africa.
  • Sponsor / advertising recall and perceptions.
  • Views on the vuvuzela.
  • Changing perceptions towards football and footballers as role models.

This is a no obligation offer and it's one that has enjoyed significant interest amongst previously targeted sectors. We've chosen the marketing sector on this occasion because - just like finance, retail and health - this sector reflects our agency's specific expertise.

The questions can be about anything to do with whatever is on the agenda of our nation’s young people this summer. All we ask is that the questions are submitted by organisations and agencies offering marketing services. Questions could focus on areas of research which could provide useful insight for agency clients, for potential clients or to satisfy personal interest!

500 young people aged 17-26 will take part in the survey. Our offer also includes the data analysis and the results will be distributed to all participants on a non-confidential basis.

In our most recent survey for the health sector we revealed alarming new statistics about binge drinking, smoking and drug use amongst young people. Previous surveys have revealed insights into young people's Christmas shopping patterns and financial opinions and behaviour.

The limited number of free questions will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. The survey will be live from 30th June and results available the week commencing 12th July. More information for interested agencies and organisations is available from Richard Walker on 01625 628000.
